Recovery can mean different things to different people.
For many, recovery is about reaching optimal personal, social, and emotional well-being. It’s about achieving goals we never thought we’d have the strength or courage to pursue under the dark clouds of ongoing mental health symptoms.
For others, recovery is about developing relationships and skills that support a positive life and regaining a sense of meaningful purpose in daily activities.
Still, for others, it brings giggles, joy, and a sense of lightness into their lives.
For almost everyone, recovery is that emotional state when dark clouds become rainbows.
During your coaching journey, you will explore the fundamental concepts of recovery: hope, personal responsibility, education, self-advocacy, and support. Together, we will:
- Review wellness tools and activities to help you feel better.
- Identify your values and strengths.
- Create a vision of a future filled with possibilities and opportunities for you to live well.
If you are an NDIS participant, I can discuss the empowering steps and processes involved in recovery coaching sessions with your plan manager or coordinator.
In a Nutshell, recovery coaching aims to help you develop a tailored plan to return to wellness, regain a meaningful purpose in your daily life and activities, and achieve positive change, transformation, healthy habits, and a healthy lifestyle.
As your recovery coach, I will spend as much time as needed with you and those who know you best to understand your needs truly.
With over four decades of personal and shared lived experience of trauma, mental ill health, and recovery, I bring valuable insights and resources to support you.
